Sound familiar?

When pain starts making your plans for you.

Knee, shoulder or joint pain can mean skipping a round of golf, cutting a walk short or taking the stairs one step at a time.

Regenerative injections are one part of the medical clinic care we offer.

The short answer

What is regenerative medicine?

Regenerative medicine is a group of injection therapies designed to work with your body's natural healing abilities. At Advanced Pain Solutions, an injection is one part of a plan that also includes guided rehab and chiropractic care.

The therapies we offer

  • Stem cell treatments

Autologous options use material from your own body; adipose-derived options use material from fat tissue.

  • PRP platelet-rich plasma

Made from one blood draw, spun to separate the platelet-rich plasma for injection.

  • A2M alpha-2-macroglobulin

Prepared much like PRP, using a different filter. Your provider explains its risks and cost after an exam.

  • Orthobiologic injections

Offered after an exam, with the product, its source, regulation, risks and cost explained first.

How it works

  1. We find the driver

Your provider examines the joint, tendon or soft tissue involved and reviews your history.

  2. We match the option

If a regenerative option fits your findings, your provider explains which one and why.

  3. We schedule the injection

If you go ahead, your provider schedules the injection.

Who it may suit

  • Joint, tendon or soft tissue pain an exam can trace
  • Pain that has not settled with rest and home exercise
  • Adults ready to follow a rehab plan between visits

Who should not have it

  • Pain your exam traces to a source an injection cannot reach
  • An injury that needs urgent or surgical care first
  • Anyone not ready to follow a rehab plan between visits

We set expectations early, track your progress at each visit and adjust the plan with you.

...I underwent a comprehensive treatment plan including stem cell injections, PRP therapy, and trigger point injections. From the very beginning, the staff was not only extremely professional but also made me feel completely at home. They were incredibly thorough with my history, physical exam, and overall evaluation....

Anna H.

They found that my back pain was from a broken back and bone on bone in my hip. I could barely walk. Over the course of a few months, I had PRP and stem cells. Now I can walk so much better. I highly recommend their office with their professional and knowledgeable team.

Sonya H.

Came in for back pain I have been having for the last 10 years, friends have recommended Advance Pain Solutions. Came in for a consultation and the steps Jaimee spoke to me about the procedures of decompression, back injections of stem cells and PRP which helped relieve the pain and improved movement. Now I am able to sleep better, lift and run. Thank you!

What is the average cost of regenerative therapy?

There is no average figure to give, because the cost depends on your plan and prices are not posted online. Cherry financing lets you pay over time, with no hard credit check to apply.

What are the cons of regenerative medicine?

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons notes that more scientific evidence is needed about PRP. A PRP injection can leave the area sore for the first week or two, and a plan asks for your time between visits.

Is regenerative medicine safe?

Every injection carries some risk, such as bleeding or infection at the site. For PRP, Cleveland Clinic describes the risks as very few. One is a remote chance of contamination if the blood is not kept sterile while it is prepared. The injection may also cause more discomfort than you expect.

How soon could I notice a change?

That depends on the area treated, your overall health and whether the injury is recent or long-standing. No change is promised, and a plan may include more than one visit.

How many visits does a plan take?

That is set after your exam. When regenerative injections are part of our joint rejuvenation protocol, plans often range from 2 to 12 visits. The joint's condition, your activity level, age and other factors set the number.

Are regenerative injections guided by ultrasound?

For a joint, yes. Every joint injection at Advanced Pain Solutions is ultrasound-guided for precise placement.

Should I stop any medicines before an injection?

Ask your provider first. Before a PRP injection, a provider might ask you to stop certain medicines, such as blood thinners or NSAIDs, according to Cleveland Clinic.

Who supervises the rehab between visits?

Our medical staff or medical assistants, depending on the joint, muscle or therapy. Rehab begins with a functional evaluation that sets a baseline for how you move.
