Our method

The joint rejuvenation protocol.

The joint rejuvenation protocol is a sequenced combination of modalities, including regenerative injections, focused shockwave and rehabilitation or retraining exercises, at a cadence that supports the body's natural ability to heal. Each plan is set after your exam.

Who will I see at my visit?

That depends on your plan. You may see one of our two Doctors of Chiropractic, our family nurse practitioner, or both. Chiropractic care often begins with X-rays your provider goes over with you, and regenerative injections are given in the clinic. Trigger point injections are given by our nurse practitioner or another medical provider.

Guided rehab starts with a functional evaluation to set a baseline, then coached exercises in the clinic and at home.

Do you perform surgery?

No. Advanced Pain Solutions performs no surgery. Our care is chiropractic care, spinal decompression, focused shockwave, regenerative injections, trigger point injections and guided rehab.

Spinal decompression uses a computerized table, and focused shockwave is applied from outside the body, with no incisions or needles. Your provider reviews your findings with you, including when a surgical opinion is the right next step.

Which conditions do you treat?

We treat back pain, neck pain, herniated discs, sciatica, knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, joint pain and arthritis. We also see elbow pain, including golfer's and tennis elbow, foot and ankle pain, headaches and migraines, whiplash and sports injuries.

Neuropathy is treated case by case, and a plan for it can include regenerative therapies, focused shockwave, chiropractic care and guided rehab.

How long does a plan of care take?

It varies by therapy. Joint rejuvenation protocol plans often range from 2 to 12 visits. The number depends on the condition of the joint, your activity level, your age and other factors.

A spinal decompression plan typically runs 4 to 16 sessions. The count depends on how severe the problem is, how long the injury has been present, your age and your activity level.

Do you use ultrasound for joint injections?

Yes. All joint injections at Advanced Pain Solutions are ultrasound-guided for precise placement.

Are your providers licensed?

Yes. Each provider holds an active Oregon license: two from the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners and one from the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
